This is a lot of “me” content but where else can you hear all about what I’m up to without reading my Google calendar?

THINGS I TRIPPED OVER ON THE INTERNET TODAY, JUNE 22

Thing #1 - A show about two hot men in kilts doing things

Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish are two gorgeous Scottish men that happen to be on “Outlander” on Starz - a book that my mom loved when I was growing up and if we interrupted her while reading it she’d get really mad and send us outside.

I don’t know who is more handsome to me but I love them and now there’s going to be a travel show where they hang out in kilts and pick up heavy things and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Thing #2 - Easy Life singing about Sangria

I love everything about this - the chill/awkward video style, This boy in the overalls. The girl in that distressed long t and “I’m gonna mess you up” vibes, and this song. I keep singing it to myself while cleaning my office.

Easy Life is a group out of England and you should definitely look them up.

Thing #3 - Scott Pilgrim and Metric music video that I can’t stop watching

My brother got into Scott Pilgrim vs. The World back in University I think because I snuck into his room once to read his comics and found them in a milk crate with some mixed CDs and poetry he had written his ex-girlfriend. I wasn’t really into them and couldn’t quite get what all the fuss was about. Plus his poems were way more entertaining.

When the movie came out I wasn’t sure I would go but I remember totally falling for the movie when I talked myself into going. This song features Brie Larson as dumpster fire of a human/rock star Envy Adams who happens to be the main character’s ex-girlfriend WHO is daring Pilgrem’s new love interest’s ex-boyfriend, played by Brandon Routh, who played a version of Superman that nobody talks about but which I enjoyed immensely.

Thing #4 - Grey Worm from Game of Thrones is one of my favorite new musicians

My boyfriend was the first person to bring it to my attention that for a long time, British singers had to make themselves sound American when they wrote music here. He had interviewed someone on an old radio show he hosted here in Winter Park, Declan Bennett, who sang unapologetically British and that must have really connected with me because when I heard Raleigh Ritchie, I was in.

Ritchie is actually an alias for British actor, singer-songwriter Jacob Basil Anderson, who played crowd-favorite Fantasy bodyguard and Unsullied commander of Danaerys Targaryen’s armies on Game of Thrones.

He’s also in my personal daily soundtrack and just released a new album called “Andy.”
