THE SIT PROJECT

One of the first public art projects I ever did (besides tagging trains) was The Sit Project.

I would take chairs that were being thrown out and that I’d find on the curb, fix them and art them up, then chain them to bus stops in the area that had no shelters.

I fancied myself as the Robin Hood of public transit.
