This is a lot of “me” content but where else can you hear all about what I’m up to without reading my Google calendar?

THINGS I TRIPPED OVER ON THE INTERNET TODAY, NOVEMBER 26

Thing #1 - Sea Urchins like to wear hats

Sea urchins like to wear hats, y’all. It’s a real thing. The little critters regularly wear shells on their “heads” for some reason - some people say it’s like a sun embrella to hide from the light and some say it’s just extra protection. I weirdly think it’s because they’re sensitive to UV radiation and have adapted to start shielding themselves - but I’m crazy.

Someone named @riosousa has been sharing photos of their urchins with fancy 3D printed hats.

Thing #2 - This amazing poster

This great image is by Charley Deppner - Check him out HERE.

Thing #3 - Aztec Death Whistle

The history nerd rumor is that the Aztecs used to blow a little whistle to help scare their opponents with a little psychological warfare using freaky sounds in the jungle. Some say they used them to help send spirits on their way. Either way, they’re pretty fantastic.

Thing #4 - This pig couch everyone is sharing on socials is fake-ish

Everyone keeps sending me stories about this magical pig-shaped couch that’s allegedly for sale. The folks at CURBED: New York have in fact sleuthed out that while it was an actual thing - an art project in fact - the couch has been missing for years.

I’d totally buy it though.

Thing #5 - There’s a love letter museum in fair Verona, where we lay our scene

Just so you know, I made that subtitle before I watched this video - so that joke is all me.

There’s a museum in the Italian city of Verona run by a group of volunteers at the Juliet Club sort through answers and answer back. The letters, which have come to the city since the 1930s, are sorted and stored.
